Web Development

Since the mid 1990's web development has been one of the fastest growing industries in the world. There were fewer than 1,000 web development companies in the U.S. in 1995, ten years later, that number had increased by 97 percent.

As a broad term, web development refers to each step of the production of a website, since its construction, for design, content creation for the add features, and social. However, most industry members think digital web development and practice of writing code.

There are two main areas of the encoded client-side code and server side coding. Client-side Coding refers to what the user can experience in a web page. For example, Adobe Flash Player is software for viewing animations and movies. Microsoft Silverlight is a browser plugin from Microsoft that allows animation and vector graphics and high definition video playback.

Server-side coding is done to the server, a computer running the program to meet the needs of other programs not running on the same computer. These are codes that the server understands, but not the user. This coding includes ASP, PHP, CSP, ColdFusion and more.

Depending on the type of website you want to own as well as the type of marketing campaigns or programs that you want to be able to run, the code can be very simple or very complicated.

Service-based companies that are looking for customer inquiries, for example, might want to keep their basic sites, with some pages of the need to know the information, including pricing and contact information as well as how to contact. These companies must ensure that their sites are easy to navigate and answers all the contents of the questions that they think their target market would have.

A consumer brand with a big marketing budget, however, might want to explore the potential of digital campaigns. French water brand, Perrier, for example, recently launched an online campaign on YouTube. The idea is more people who see the steamier it gets. The implementation makes it easy to share the campaign with their friends and supporters on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking platforms.

Web developers understand the language of computers, which are the builders and often the players too. The more complicated the program, the greater the challenge. Web developers working with designers and experts in user experience to create an online experience for users is simple, stimulating and where they need to go.
